ὕβρις, εως, ἡ (ὑπέρ), das Hinausgehen über das rechte Maaß, also übermüthige Gewaltthätigkeit, jede Verletzung göttlicher und menschlicher Rechte, die aus gesetzloser Uebergewalt, aus übertriebenem Kraftgefühl (z.
